A Week of Chinese New Year
We have had a very exciting Monday. We learnt about Chinese New Year and the animals race. We thought very carefully about the order in which the animals came and we were super at doing this. Lots of us also chose to make some amazing Chinese dragons. We also went on a hunt around the classrooms and outdoors to find all the different animals from the race and we had to write them down.

Snowgies
We received a letter from Elsa saying she is feeling much better but because of this the Snowgies are beginning to melt! The only way we could help Elsa was to make some more. It was lots of fun. We even drew an ice castle to keep the Snowgies cold and some of us made Snowgies on kites... very creative.

Writing Cards
What a super day we had making cards for Elsa. We thought really carefully about what 2D shapes we could use to make a shape picture of Elsa. Lots of us decided it would be a good idea to make cards out of them. Our writing was amazing and the cards were beautiful and creative.

Frozen Week
This week Elsa and Anna have paid us a visit. Poor old Elsa has a cold so we have been busy writing letters to cheer her up and writing nice things about her to make her happy. After we wrote our letters we put them into an envelope with a stamp and posted them to Elsa.
We hope she likes them!

Shape Hunt
This week we have been recapping 2D and 3D shapes. We have also learnt some new tricky ones! Today received a letter from Hook saying we must go on a shape hunt. We chose a partner and went around the playgrounds to see which shapes we could find within the environment. We took an iPad with us so we could take lots of photos. Even though it was raining we had lots of fun!
We are amazing at shapes!

Captain Hook
Captain Hook left us a letter saying he had captured Peter Pan and Jake and the only way he would release them is if we can find their hidden treasure.
We have worked so hard to make our own treasure maps, we have used different ideas to make them all look different.
We have also enjoyed hunting for treasure in the sand. We had to pull out a number and find the amount of treasure to match it.
The red word hunt has been lots of fun! We have earned ourselves lots of dojos by going around the room searching for all the hidden red words.
