Another Challenge

The big bad Giant came into our classroom during assembly today!

He left us a message and he said that there are lots of envelopes in and around the classroom and was very angry because Jack had taken his gold and hidden it.
We needed to help him by reading the clues on the envelopes and working collaboratively to be able to find his gold.
We needed to be super fast and work hard before lunchtime, otherwise the Giant said he would chop our beanstalks down when they begin to grow.

Before we did this, we had to write something to describe one of the characters from Jack and the Beanstalk.

Measuring

We have been practising measuring in centimetres because we are just amazing! We had lots of fun finding different ways to measure. Someone came up with the idea of measuring someones head in case we needed to make a party hat. Then someone suggested we measure how far the car travels. Super work today!

Division Challenge

Today the were were left a note from Jack telling he had left us some things for us to grow our own beanstalks. Very exciting!

He also left us some super tricky division calculations. These were so tricky because we have never learnt how to divide before but by the end of the day we all knew how to do it.

Spring

We have been learning lots about spring and the meaning of new life. We have decided to go on a spring hunt around the garden and tick off all the things that we find on our list. We have really enjoyed doing this and have worked well in teams to collaborate and share our findings.

We have also been recapping 2D shapes, so we decided to make some pretty spring pictures using the shapes. We were very good because we even managed to name them and describe their properties.

Super learning in FS2 today!
